About

Emotional support help group

At R.E.A.C.H Recovery, we stand for Restoring Every At-Risk Client's Hope. We are a non-governmental organization dedicated to providing transitional housing and reentry services for former male sexual violence offenders in the North Alabama area.

Above all, we provide safe, clean and sober living environments where residents can thrive in structure, and tranquility, fostering growth and positive change. While we do not provide addiction support or rehabilitation services, we encourage meaningful relationships among our residents, to foster community, support and accountability.

We recognize the critical need for support for individuals transitioning out of the prison system. Alabama's incarceration and sex offender statistics underscore this urgency. With over 43,000 offenders behind bars and a recidivism rate of 31%, there is a pressing need to address the challenges faced by those with sexual violence convictions re-entering society.

Alabama ranks 25th in the nation for the number of sex offenders, with high statistics on child sex abuse. Over 16,000 sex offenders are registered in the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sex Offender Registry, with a majority being men. Providing a supportive environment for individuals seeking to break the cycle of violence and recidivism is a societal necessity.

Moreover, Alabama's state prisons operate at 168% capacity, contributing majorly to violence within the system. R.E.A.C.H Recovery seeks to mitigate these challenges by assisting individuals in their re-acclimation into the community, promoting self-sufficiency, and reducing recidivism rates.

We believe that by offering a safe, clean, and sober living environment, individuals can rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient contributors to society. Our goal is to inspire hope, support growth, and pave the way for a brighter future for our residents and the communities we serve.
